First entry

Hello all. My name is Sally. This is my new blog. 

Hanging out with my cats today; just finished a purse from an old Marushka. Used an old leather belt for the handle, linen for the interior, green cotton and the Marushka for the outside.

I design women's accessories from recycled materials, second-hand fabrics, that sort of thing. Trying to change the world one purse at a time I guess. I feel it's important to find ethical and sustainable ways to consume. Buying goods coming from second hand fabrics and that are handmade (sweat-shop free) is a great way to start.

Listening to Lou Reed and sewing is heaven at the moment.
